We created Ani_Jam to showcase the small but mighty animation community we have in Alberta.
Alberta-based animators, illustrators, storyboarders, musicians, writers, and voice actors, we are thrilled to invite you to participate in Ani_JamV03! Teams of five multidisciplinary artists will collaborate to create a 60-second animated film based on a mystery theme over three creativity-packed days!
How it works
The Team: Gather a group of your creative friends to jam with. A good team has a broad skillset and at least a few animators!
The Jam: On the morning of Jam Day, your hosts will broadcast a kick-off live-stream event to share this year’s jam theme. You’ll have the next three days to interpret the theme in a creative way and animate a 60-second-long film!
The Judges: Our experienced panel of judges will independently review each of your jam submissions and score them to determine the winning film.
The Showcase: A collection of Ani_Jam films will be screened at our showcase event for your friends, family, and the movie-going public! This celebration will honour all the films and the hard work you and your teammates put into them. After watching the collection of submissions on the big screen, we’ll announce the winning films and hand out the coveted Jammy Awards!
