FAVA is donating Associate Memberships to AniJam, awarded to members of the winning teams. Metro Cinema is supporting AniJam 2026 with a prize that celebrates storytelling, animation, and independent film. The winning team will receive ten “Admit 2” passes to Metro Cinema, giving artists the chance to experience independent, international, and locally programmed films at one of Edmonton’s most iconic community cinemas.

These passes can be shared among team members or used with friends and collaborators—encouraging continued connection to the local film and arts community. The approximate retail value of this prize is: $280. Thanks so much Metro Cinema!

Toon Boom is supporting this year’s jam with prizes designed specifically for emerging animators. The winning participant on the Best Student Animation team will receive a 1-year subscription to Toon Boom Harmony 2025, giving them access to one of the industry’s most widely used animation tools. In addition, Toon Boom is providing branded swag that will be included across the three main award categories, so multiple teams will take home a piece of the animation industry.

Tools matter — but encouragement matters more. Support like this helps early-career artists continue learning, experimenting, and building real portfolio work after the jam ends.


Pixel Blue College

Pixel Blue College is the founding organizer and primary host of AniJam 2026 and is providing in‑kind support to enable the planning, production, and public presentation of the event. This includes staff time for coordination and administration, volunteer support, registration and communications management, use of studio facilities and technical infrastructure, and operational oversight through the AniJam Society. Pixel Blue also covers the Showcase & Awards Gala venue rental ($1,500) and provides participant snacks and refreshments throughout the weekend ($750).

In addition, Pixel Blue provides software access for participants who may not otherwise have the tools required to participate ($950 value), along with ongoing operational and administrative costs required to run the event. This support allows external sponsorship funding to be directed toward prizes and participant opportunities rather than base operating costs. Total estimated in‑kind contribution value: $4,500.
